September blog from ElevateHer International — Empowering women to heal, grow, and thrive across the globe!

Letter From Our CEO

Dear Friends,

I’m currently in the second of three weeks here in Kenya, and my soul is full from what I’m seeing.

We spent part of our first week debriefing with women who participated in our training last year; listening to their stories and hearing about what has happened since we left. I shared with a member of our team how shocked I was to hear just how far the impact has reached.

Women who were encouraged to heal are now helping others heal. What they learned is showing up in their families, their leadership, their churches, and their communities.

If you’ve been following ElevateHer in the past year, you know we’ve been saying our slogan, “Heal women, heal the world.” So maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. Maybe there was a little lack of faith or even confidence that what we were building could really have this kind of ripple effect.

But today, I can say without a doubt: our programs are working.

Women’s lives are changing, and that change is reaching beyond them into their communities and the next generation.

This is why NOW is the time to go deeper with us. Your partnership isn’t funding an idea or a slogan. Your gifts are reaching real women, in real time, and creating impact that will outlive all of us.

So join us, give your best gift today and together we can keep healing women who are, healing the world.

With gratitude,

A Story From Kenya

I want to share a story of one of the women I spoke of above. She attended our conference last year in Nairobi. She somehow missed the debrief but caught up with me later on in the week.

She said “I wanted to share, the training has brought much fruit in my life. When I came last year I was struggling, my family was going through many challenges and I learned how to be a safe space for them especially my daughter and since then there’s been reconciliation in my family. I’ve even been able to support a woman who was contemplating suicide, and slowly, her suicidal thoughts have been decreasing. Thank you for all you’ve done.”

Every woman in the room had a story. That’s right one hundred percent of the women who participated in our debrief shared ways the program had positively impacted their lives.

This is the ripple effect we have been praying for.

One woman comes to a training carrying her own pain. She begins to heal. She becomes a safer presence for her daughter. Reconciliation begins in her family. Then, when another woman is in crisis, she knows how to come alongside her.

These are not licensed therapists, these are average people in the community learning to be trauma informed.

This is what we mean when we say, “Heal Women, Heal the World.”

And this is what your partnership makes possible. You may never sit in the room with these women or hear every story, but your generosity is part of each one. When you invest in one woman’s healing, you are investing in her family, her community, and the people she will reach long after our training ends.

The ripple is growing. Help us keep it going.

Registration is Open: Trauma-Informed Leadership Cohort

Registration is now open for ElevateHer's Trauma-Informed Leadership Cohort, beginning October 1–November 5, 2026. Join us every Thursday from 7:00–9:00 PM EST on Zoom for one of ElevateHer's most anticipated leadership experiences.

Designed for pastors, chaplains, community organizers, nonprofit leaders, and HealHer Circle facilitators, this six-week cohort equips women and men to lead from a place of healing. Together, we'll explore trauma-informed leadership through biblical reflection, practical teaching, and experiential exercises that cultivate self-awareness, deepen compassion, and prepare participants to create safe, healing spaces for others.

Here's what one participant shared:

"This training was so amazing, and I loved every session. It's taking me through self-reflection, helping me be more present and more intentional with people. I'm learning to make it a true safe space and not react to what people are saying. I even do the grounding exercises with my children."

If you're ready to grow as a trauma-informed leader and become equipped to facilitate healing in your community, plan to join us beginning October 1.

Register today and be part of the next generation of leaders helping women heal, grow, and thrive.

Sustainers Program

Last month, we launched the ElevateHer Sustainers Program, a community of faithful supporters who believe that healing shouldn't stop because funding does.

The greatest barrier to empowering women isn't a lack of passion or vision; it's the unpredictability of resources. By becoming a Sustainer, you provide the steady, reliable support that allows ElevateHer to continue training leaders, facilitating Healing Circles, and equipping women to heal, grow and thrive.

Here’s what our previous board member said about why she became a monthly donor:

“Giving has deepened my connection to this work in ways I didn’t expect.”

Becoming a Sustainer is simple. Choose a monthly gift, starting at just $5 per month, and your automatic recurring donation will provide dependable funding for this life-changing work. You can update or cancel your gift at any time.

Your consistent generosity helps ensure that as long as women need healing, ElevateHer will be there.

Ground Practice: A Dance From Kenya

This week’s grounding activity is a dance from Mulot, Kenya. After we were done training, we learned a group wanted to perform. I thought it was singing but lo and behold it was a whole dance routine. After they were done, I asked the leader to teach it to me and  the audience. So this month, join my sisters in Kenya in a dance.

Let’s Meet…

I want to thank the many partners who have already met with me so together we can dream of the next phase of ElevateHer.

If you’d simply like to connect with me directly, I would absolutely love that. You can schedule time with me using my personal Google calendar link below.

We truly believe that this work grows through relationships and you are a vital part of that.
